Join us for a very special evening as Dawning Day Farms brings a taste of the Southern Highlands to Wharf St. Distillery for our next intimate wine dinner.
Based in the picturesque village of Exeter, Dawning Day is a small family-owned vineyard producing premium cool-climate wines with plenty of character and personality. Mike and Katrina Archer have built Dawning Day around a love of wine, sustainable farming and a belief that wine can make a difference, with a significant portion of wine revenue supporting community organisations.
For this dinner, we're doing things a little differently.
Rather than a traditional four-wines-and-four-courses format, the evening will begin with a Wharf St. X Dawning Day Limoncello aperitivo, created especially for the night.
From there, settle in for four beautifully matched courses from the Wharf St. kitchen, accompanied by four Dawning Day wines, with Mike joining us throughout the evening to share the stories, personalities and winemaking behind each bottle.
And to finish? We'll head back to the Southern Highlands with a taste of Dawning Day Limoncello alongside dessert - a fitting end to a night celebrating great wine, great food and two independent NSW producers coming together.

Dawning Day's Exeter vineyard specialises in cool-climate wines, with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay grown on the estate alongside a broader portfolio drawing on selected vineyards throughout NSW. Their cellar door has developed a reputation for wines that are serious about quality without taking themselves too seriously — exactly the kind of philosophy we love.
These dinners are deliberately intimate, relaxed and incredibly enjoyable. It's not a formal wine lecture — it's an opportunity to sit around the table, discover some outstanding wines, eat beautiful food and hear directly from the people behind what you're drinking.
